Bullying

YESTERDAY, MY SON WAS BODYSLAMMED 3 TIMES BY A BULLY, THE SAME BULLY THAT HAS BEEN MAKING MY SON'S SCHOOL YEAR A NIGHTMARE, INCLUDING STEALING A NECKLACE I GAVE MY SON AS A SPECIAL GIFT FOR HIS FIRST YEAR OF LITTLE LEAGUE. LAST NIGHT, I CALLED THE COPS TO PUT A STOP TO THIS, AND WHEN THE COP CAME OVER, HE SAID THE SCHOOL POLICE OFFICER WOULD HANDLE THE CASE. WHEN I GOT A CALL TODAY FROM THE RVMS PSLO, HE TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE MY SON VOLUNTARILY WALKED INTO THE AREA THAT THE BULLY WAS, THAT IT WAS MY SON'S FAULT FOR GOING "INTO THE LIONS DEN" AND THERE WAS NOTHING HE WOULD DO ABOUT IT. WHEN I TOLD THE OFFICER THAT THIS BULLY HAD BEEN BULLYING MY SON ALL YEAR, HE SAID HE ONLY TAKES ONE ISSUE AT A TIME AND THE PAST WAS DONE, AND THE NECKLACE WAS THE BULLY'S BECAUSE THE BULLY WAS ABLE TO NAME A STORE WHERE THEY SELL THEM. THE KAUKAUNA AREA SCHOOLS IS PROTECTING BULLIES AND IGNORING THEIR VICTIMS! PLEASE SHARE AND SEND A MESSAGE TO EVERY SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT PROTECTING BULLIES AND DOING NOTHING ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS IS WRONG!! MY SON HAS BEEN BULLIED ALL SCHOOL YEAR BY THIS GROUP OF THUGS, AND NOT 1 TEACHER, ADMINISTRATOR, COUNCILLOR OR OFFICER WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE IT STOP, THEY ONLY OFFER EXCUSES AND BLAME THE VICTIMS!!! PLEASE HELP ME IN THE EFFORT TO STOP BULLYING!!

BuffaloCricket says this about that....I have always believed that when the rungs of the ladder are broken, reach for the next higher rung, even if it means reaching the top of the ladder long before everyone else....Until the pain is returned, nothing will happen....Sue the police, the school police, the school board and the parents of the bullies....Then go the the president of the U.S.A.....

Governmentium

Communism: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and gives you part of the milk.

Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbour

Fascism: You have two cows. The government takes both and sells you the milk.

Zazism: You have two cows. The government takes both cows, then shoots you.

Bureaucracy: You have two cows. The government takes both of them, shoots one, milks the other, the pours the milk down the drain.

Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one of them and buy a bull.

Democracy. In a democracy, everyone has two cows, then a vote is taken, and whatever the majority decides to do, you do, and that's no bull.

Now, in a just society, we vote for the person who best represents our beliefs. Then we sit back to see who gets the most votes. They think they will lead us. They think that their political party now has the right to do as they please including ignore the voter who put them into power. But you forget, this is a just society.

In a just society, those who are elected by the masses are simply the workers held accountable for the prosperity and the morality and the justice in this just society. Long gone are the days when political parties have access to our hard earned wages through taxation. Long gone are the days when a political party can hand out favours to cull even more votes. Long gone are the days of the arrogant, self serving politicians and their cronies. Entitlement is a word found in the dusty archives of political correctness and excess.

But wait, what's that I hear, oh damn, it's the alarm clock. Time to wake up and trudge off to another day of working 9 to 5 so I can pay the exorbitant taxes that the latest batch of thieves in parliament is squandering on themselves, their friends and their personal expense accounts.

Tick...tock....where's my Glock...

Greed for Brains

Recently, the news in Canada has been about the lack of skilled workers to fill job vacancies.

Although there is a large sector of the population unemployed, especially amongst the younger workers, Canadian companies have been bemoaning the lack of skilled workers with the right set of skills to fill the job vacancies now present.

It would appear to this "scribe" that what goes around has finally come around. For decades, companies have been so interested in the bottom line, the CEO bonus packages and the desire to be the biggest fish in the pond that they have gone the way of the Dot Coms. Personal wealth v/s long term survivability.

Had all those corporate thinkers expanded their thinking beyond their own wallets they would have realized that when you fail to invest in the future, there isn't one. By failing to spend the necessary funds on training the future workers, the corporate future will remain unfulfilled.

The solution, training new workers, could take as long as 15 years. That leaves these giants of enterprise with a dilemma. Hire the unskilled, spend the money necessary to quickly teach them the necessary skills, or,  see your market share dwindle or disappear, then go out of business.

The Dot Com.s had lots of brains, but no foresight. The corporations of today have no brains, no foresight, and it would now appear, a rapidly disappearing work force.

In Europe, for centuries, the young were taught the skills necessary to fulfill the jobs that would be there. In North America, the industries have not yet learned this concept of spend for tomorrow, or there won't be one.

All I can say to the North American CEO's is this...Tough S _ _ T....You reap what you sow and you have sowed nothing.
